My 2019 Edge 2.0 Ecoboost "stutters" only when cold while driving about 30 mph. By stuttering I mean that the car jerks rapidly and the rpms fluctuate by about 200 rpm while this is happening. After the engine gets up to normal temperature there is no stutter at low speeds. This started some months ago, but I never was concerned since it goes away after the engine is warmed up. I have had the transmission flushed as part of a 60 month service, but this has not made any change to this issue. I use a K&N air filter, but it is not over oiled or dirty. I don't drive much, only 11200 miles in five years. It is common for me to only drive about twice a week and then only about five miles each way running errands. The engine doesn't burn oil, which is changed every five months along with the filter. There is no coolant leak so I'm sure it's not a head gasket issue. I keep the gas tank at 3/4 full or greater and use only Costco regular (occasionally premium). I don't think the issue is spark plugs as the engine never misses or runs roughly. As I said, it stutters as though I were tapping on the accelerator rapidly while driving about 30 mph. But it is not a miss. It has great acceleration and does not hesitate. Fuel mileage is 18 mpg.
